'HANBURY HOLDINGS. the parent company of Felixstowe-based container haulage and distribution firm Hanbury Davies has made it into the latest edition of The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 that lists the fastest-growing businesses in the country.

To be included in the list, companies must have achieved profit growth of over 50% for three consecutive years.

Hanbury Holdings, the only haulage-related business to make the top 100 comes in at number 75, with growth of 57.45% - its profits swelled from £947,000 in 2002 to £3.7m in 2005.

Chairman Glyn Davies says he is delighted but stresses that the group includes a property development company and a truck dealership as well as the haulage firm.

'We still have lots of work to do' he says. 'We specialised in taking over businesses in distress and the way the market is this year, there may be an opportunity to do some more of that. We've only got here through a lot of hard slog'.

NEW YEAR ~ NEW LIVERY

It’s five years since the Hanbury brand was launched with great anticipation and expectation in the market place.

And five years on, we have confounded our critics operating 520 vehicles in a variety of market sectors.

Our new livery is launched as a means of keeping up to date. It maintains the same basic colours and the company logo. It also incorporates the new “wrapping” technique where vehicles can be liveried in less than a day.

At the end of the service with the company, trucks can be returned to a standard white vehicle by simply “unwrapping” the livery. Most vehicles are sold to the market via our commercial truck retail division, Hanbury Riverside Limited.

This is the first of many new and exciting projects for Hanbury Davies in 2005. The facelift is just the start of things to come.
