In 1999 we had 60 vehicles. Today we operate a fleet of over 500 vehicles bearing our striking livery, the only exceptions being those in Customers' own livery.
Our fleet image is distinctive and much emphasis is placed on cleanliness and appearance.
All vehicles are purchased new and are represented by Scania, Volvo, MAN, Mercedes and Daf.
We have a dedicated Fleet Management team whose responsibility it is to manage ‘up time’ which includes:-
- Looking after inspections
- Servicing
- MOT’s
- Vehicle Livery
- Tachographs
- Insurance
- Security
- Health & Safety
- General Research
and many other operators licence matters.
Vehicle sourcing and life cost management features very highly within the business and our objective is always to identify the lowest possible weekly costs.
After an extensive series of trials with mixed marques and different working conditions, we chose to limit our vehicles to 52mph to assist fuel performance, vehicle, driver and road safety. Through this study, we determined that 52mph would give us optimum benefit which we can pass onto our customers.
